Agreed. Much easier to delete products than to add them.

Totally support this! It's not just kegs, but wine glasses, etc. Similarly, not all servings are "bottles, ml, fl oz, etc". The "serving" name could easily be a variable value created by the user. If I want to sell "buckets" I would just create a serving size called bucket.

The bottle doesn't need to be upright to measure the contents. The app doesn't try to guess how the shape of the bottle affects the volume of liquid it contains. It just assumes that the cross-sectional area is uniform.
Of course, that's not even remotely true for some bottles. So one solution is to create your own scale and paste it as an image next to your bottle on the photo. Then the stocktaker aligns the contents level line with the scale instead of the actual liquid level.
Regarding the actual contents (1.5L) just set a value of 1500ml.

We are currently looking into small changes that we can introduce quickly that will improve food inventory. At the moment, you can still get an accurate PO for a food product by inputting the size/weight of the item in the Product Name, regardless of what container and capacity you set.

The food item seems critical to me. And the software change doesn't seem to be too big. We just need another container category; a packet. And that category needs to be counted as packets and/or weight.
Many bars sell food like burgers or fries, but in reality those are restaurant items and the whole inventory management process is different. Your app is fundamentally structured for fixed units and not for "Special of the day". Forget them. We need to count snacks not dinners.
All we need is the ability to count packets or weights of bar snacks like peanuts.
For example, I sell cheese to accompany wine. Some cheese suppliers provide packets of precisely weighed portions of cheese, but others provide packets that can vary in weight by +/- 25%. But each one is labelled with the weight. I would be quite happy to count the exact packets, and add up the total weight of the variable packets, and enter a figure for each one.
